Ethereum is starting to look alive again — and one major player is leaning into that shift.

BitMine, the largest Ethereum treasury holder, just added another $137 million worth of ETH, continuing a steady ramp-up in buying over the past few weeks.

Buying More — and Faster

The company picked up around 65,000 ETH last week, noticeably higher than the 45,000–50,000 range it had been averaging before.

That’s three straight weeks of increasing purchases.

At this point, BitMine isn’t just accumulating — it’s accelerating.

Its total holdings are now massive: over 4.6 million ETH, alongside a smaller Bitcoin position, venture-style equity bets, and more than $1 billion in cash. All in, the balance sheet sits around $11 billion at current prices.

BitMine now controls close to 4% of Ethereum’s total supply and is clearly aiming higher.

The Bet: Crypto Winter Is Ending

Tom Lee, BitMine’s chairman, is making the thesis pretty clear.

He believes Ethereum — and crypto more broadly — is coming out of what he calls a “mini crypto winter.”

Part of that view comes from recent performance. Since tensions around the Iran conflict escalated, ETH has actually outperformed both Bitcoin and traditional markets. That’s not something you typically see in risk-off environments.

Lee’s takeaway: crypto may be starting to behave differently — even acting as a kind of “wartime” hedge.

That’s still a controversial idea, but it’s clearly shaping how BitMine is positioning.

Price Action Finally Responding

ETH’s price is starting to reflect that optimism — at least short term.

After dipping toward $2,000, Ethereum bounced hard, pushing back above $2,100 and briefly reclaiming the $2,150 area.

The move came alongside a broader market rally after news that the U.S. would delay potential strikes on Iran. Risk assets across the board reacted quickly.

ETH just moved faster than most.

Something Changing Under the Surface?

Some analysts think this isn’t just another bounce.

There are a few signals lining up at once — which doesn’t happen often.

On-chain data shows Ethereum recently dropped into what’s historically been a deep value zone. At the same time, price held a key long-term trendline that’s been intact for years.

From a technical perspective, ETH is still trading inside a large multi-year structure. If that holds, the upside projections get… ambitious. Some are even pointing to the possibility of a move toward $10,000 over time.

That’s not a near-term call — but it shows how big the setup could be if momentum sticks.

Still Early — But Momentum Is Building

One more detail: trend indicators are starting to flip.

After months of sideways movement, some key signals have just turned bullish for the first time since spring. That doesn’t guarantee a sustained uptrend — but it does suggest the market might be shifting out of its previous range.

For now, it’s still early.

But between aggressive accumulation from big players like BitMine and improving technical signals, Ethereum is starting to look… different.

Not fully bullish yet.

But no longer clearly weak either.
